Mrs. Patricia Barse
Eighth Grade Homeroom Teacher
Science Grades 6-8

Hello! My goal is to inspire your children to be the best Catholic students they can be. Teaching is my passion and I pray that I can inspire and help your children to be successful in their academic and spiritual growth this year. I consider us a team: Parent and Teacher working together to help your child meet their goals. I love St. Mary School and have been working here since 2010.  I am a faith-filled person and an active member of St. Padre Pio Parish serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and facilitator of the Women’s Gospel Reflection Group.

I have had an interesting career journey which brought me to teaching....I have my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Chester University and my Masters in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.   I was an Advanced Practice Oncology Nurse for 10 years. I stayed home for several years while raising my two daughters: Carina and Cara Barse, with my wonderful husband, Stephen.  Our daughters are both graduates of St. Mary School and St. Joseph High School. Though I worked as a nurse for 10 years, a main focus of my career was education. When I decided to go back to work, I felt God calling me to do something different. I prayed about my decision and started volunteering at St. Mary School as an Instructional Aide and working as the substitute science teacher. I completed the NJ State Teaching Alternate Route to become certified.  I am certified to teach middle school science and K-6. I have been the science teacher at St. Mary School since 2013.

We  have a mini Goldendoodle named Casey and a Golden Retriever named Cooper. I love spending time at the beach, cooking, and watching the Eagles and Phillies! I am also a breast cancer survivor… Praise God! I love being at the beach, reading, cooking, working out,  going out to dinner, dark chocolate, wine, and strong coffee (though I am a decaf only person- the energy I have is all me-  LOL!), and getting lost in Home Goode’s or Marshalls. I am so blessed to be doing something I love so much! Your children are a gift to me. Thank you for entrusting us with their education.

Mr. Guillermo Pasarin
Music Teacher Pre-K3 - 8

Technology Integrationist Grades K-8

I, Guillermo Pasarin, a native of South Florida, am a conductor, composer, singer, educator, and entrepreneur based in southern New Jersey. My passion for music began at a young age, inspiring me to study voice, piano, violin, accordion, and composition. At just 14, I composed my first choral work, a four-part “Salve Regina,” which became my first commissioned piece and recording. I went on to study at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, earning a degree in music theory and composition under the guidance of esteemed mentors like Joel Phillips for composition and the late Charles Walker for voice. During my time there, I sang as a tenor and chant tutor with the Grammy-nominated "Williamson Voices" and "Kantorei," experiences that deeply shaped my approach as a music educator. In addition to 8 years of private teaching, I am the Choral Director of Sacred Music at Mater Ecclesiae Chapel in Berlin, NJ, and founded "The Marian Institute for Sacred Music." My commitment to fostering a love for music and technology has also led me to teach K-8 students at St. Mary’s School in Vineland, NJ.
